24 fresh Fuji apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
4 cups water
For Topping (per serving or to taste):
2–4 tbsp pastured butter
Pinch ground cinnamon
Pinch ground nutmeg
In a large pot, combine apples and water. Simmer over medium heat for 25–30 minutes until apples are soft.
Mash or blend for desired texture (chunky or smooth).
